Our Ministries
Children's Ministry
Our children's ministry is divided into two age groups: 0-Pre-K and K-5th grade, and they meet during Wednesday and Sunday services. We make learning the Bible fun! Through games, visuals, and arts and crafts we make the truths in God's Word come alive in a way they can understand and carry with them forever. Children are born as blank canvases and it is our mission to help you paint a beautiful picture of who God created them to be. We take to heart the great commission in which Jesus commands us to go and make disciples of all the nations (Matthew 28:19) and what better way to do this than to invest in our little ones who are the future. While we see our kids as the future, we know that they can be powerful and make an impact right now! Jesus said, "Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children" (Matthew 19:14). So while they may be little seeds we don't see them as such (Matthew 13:31-32). We see them as the tremendous trees they will become (Psalm 1). Vision Church of Lockhart, we believe in the power of God's love, the divinity of Jesus Christ, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We believe that through faith and prayer, we can overcome any obstacle and live a life of purpose and meaning.
180 Youth Ministry
Our youth ministry consists of 6th-12th graders and they meet for Wednesday and Sunday services. Our mission here is to expound further upon the truths taught in our children's ministry to deepen their understanding of Christ and who they are in Him. It is no secret that many youth turn from the Lord once they come of age, and we believe it's often because they never had a deep relationship with the Lord themselves, but rather relied on the faith of their parents/youth pastor/grandparents, etc. We want to turn this around and help them to know Jesus better (Ephesians 3:18). The most important truth in God's Word is to know Christ (John 17:3) and this is our main mission here, to stimulate a 180 degree turn from the world towards Christ. We want to work with the parent/guardian to influence as much change for the Lord as possible. We accomplish this through down to earth Biblical teachings, camps/outings, and reliance on the power of the Holy Spirit (John 6:44).
Woman's Ministry
You are loved, cherished, and empowered by the Holy Ghost to effect great change! Regardless if you are single or married, working or non-working, we want to help you reach your potential in Christ! Many women in the Bible were crucial to God's plan coming to fruition. Just as Mary gave birth to the Lord Jesus Christ to bring salvation to the world, so we believe you too can give birth to freedom and liberty by knowing who you are in Christ. Unfortunately, many women have been battered and bruised by the pains of life, but we want you to know you're not a victim. You are an overcomer in Christ (Romans 8:37)! We want to help you shed that old identity and awaken to who you are in Jesus. We host a women's breakfast every other month on the second Saturday and take a trip to Colorado in November for a women's conference. We encourage you to connect with like-minded ladies of faith who will uplift you and form a bond that Satan himself can't penetrate.
